• comb, rubber or plastic; alternatively, a balloon that is blown-up and tied-off 
• thread, 12-inch piece
• O-shaped cereal, 1 piece
• long dry hair, or dry wool cloth
• a few Styrofoam packing pellets
• scotch tape
• counter top or table
