Each group needs:

small DC toy motor; available online
2 pieces of thin electrical wire with alligator clips, each about 50 cm or 20 inches long
rubber band
stiff ruler
cylindrical-shaped cork, at least 2 cm or ¾ inch in diameter; alternative to cork: Styrofoam ball
4 paperclips
scotch tape
scissors
4 pieces of cardboard, each 3 x 5 cm
(optional) safety goggles or glasses
