- 1 medium-sized box, ~15 L x 11 W x 7-inches H (38 x 28 x 18 cm); best if the box height is less than its width and length
- 5 feet (1.5 m) of string
- scissors
- ruler
- tape
- Bottom of Box Map (PDF), one per group
- Measurement Data Recording Sheet (PDF), one per person
