Engineering a Gatorade Gravity Machine

Each group needs:

• 1 pair of scissors
• 1 ruler
• 1 tray (about 10 inches by 12 inches, to minimize messes and spills)
• 1 push pin (to poke small holes)
• Gatorade Gravity Machine Worksheet (PDF) (1 per student)

For the entire class to share:

• small disposable paper cups
• straws
• duct tape
• unsharpened pencils

• Popsicle sticks

• 2 flavors of Gatorade powder
